I really look forward to these posts!
I've done some watch spotting lately, all with an open bottle of wine nearby.
On the wrist of a female customer at the wine shop, borrowed from her husband. My first Moonswatch sighting!
I've learned to just let the Datejust wearers go without comment but I couldn't help complimenting a customer's Submariner. Glad I did. Not sure of the exact model, he's not a weirdo like me who takes his watch off and hands it to any stranger who notices it, but he purchased it back when you could just walk into a store and buy one. And he uses it when scuba diving! He proudly stated that his Sub has logged over 1000 hours underwater. That's a tool watch!
Spotted on a fellow imbiber at the fancy French wine bar I frequent. The wearer and I then ignored our friends and spouses to nerd out until my poor girlfriend got the check and paid. I don't know why she wanted to leave, we talked about her watches too.
Seamaster 200, worn by a gentleman at the wine shop. He bought it in the 1970s. Can't wait to see what he wears to the shop next.
On the left wrist of a customer. I don't think he's really a watch guy, but he was happy that I noticed his Rolex.
