Interesting article and nice perspectives on the watch.  A watch in the stratosphere of watch making.

Although black and gold being avant guard is an odd comment.  Unless you consider Casio avant guard...  Also do you get paid to write these fancy reviews?

I just wrote this as a fan of the brand and I don't get any compensation.  This is just a hobby for me.  They don't really need articles like mine.  With a small production volume, 160-200 a year, they don't have any problems selling these pieces.

Regarding the avant guard comment, I was referring to the technology used in creating the dual-tone effect.  I didn't want to copy their technical descriptions to my article.  I should explain this better.  In any case, here are some paragraphs I copied from their website to illustrate my point:

"DIAL: BLACK MICROLIGHT – CHAPTER RING WITH ROMAN NUMERALS IN GOLD"

"TWO TONED TITANIUM SANDBLASTED HANDS"

"POLISHED BLACK ZIRCONIUM, WITH MIDDLE MICROLIGHT"

"SHORT FLOATING LUGS IN BLACK BRUSHED ZIRCONIUM WITH YELLOW TITANIUM"

"BACK: OPEN IN POLISHED BLACK ZIRCONIUM
TINTED SAPPHIRE CRYSTAL (HARDNESS OF 1800 VICKERS) WITH DOUBLE ANTIREFLECTIVE
COATING"

Basically, a lot of efforts were devoted to make the black and gold color look nice and special, on the dial and the movement.
