Are you planning to place an order Dec 9th 1pm EST to get the latest model from Kurono Tokyo? With the "koji" font, it is the most "Japanese looking" design so far, and I like it a lot. Best of luck to anyone who'd love to get it!

It does look quite differently than all the previous releases.

I like this one a lot!  and love the 37mm size.  But I have a hard time with a Miyota 9000 series for this price point.  We'll see them for resale on the forums for $2500-$3500.

ImageAn example of the first model in the Grand Collection was just sold at $9375 today at the Christie's online auction.  Buyers had quite a few days to think about the prices to bid, so this looks like a fair gauge of market price.  If so, the current second model is a pretty good deal at 1/3 of the price.   I guess that people love the Kurono watches due to its designs and its creator (but not the movement).

WOW.  Those wanting a hand-lacquered urushi dial with kanji characters for less than $9k might consider the Undone x Simple Union collaboration.  Also 37mm, NH35 movement, leather strap for around $500 bucks.  Looks like the are taking names for the next batch:https://www.undone.com/en/sign-up/mu3
