The one or the many

I have a 20 so watch collection i really enjoy the versatility

Nothing luxury or even close the nicest i have $ wise is a 500 oceanus

sometimes im like damn i could sell all these and buy two omegas or a nice breitling omega combo or a few tudors ect

What are some opinions on having 20+ cheapos worth 5-6k or having 2-3 1,500-2000 watches ?

Sell them all. Couldn’t recommend it enough. Recently did this to get and Omega and Tudor

It’s a matter of preference. I prefer variety, but I want it manageable. With 20 watches, about 10 of them would never be worn (or would be worn less than three times a year). In my case, if I could trade 11 of those watches for one Tudor, I would have a 10 watch collection where I would wear all ten.

You go with whatever makes you happy. That's the beauty of watch collecting. You're the arbiter of your collection and what to do with it. Research what you want, decide on the pro and cons of buying it, see that you have enough liquidity (means your savings can take the hit while not compromising on your regular and emergency monetary spending) and enjoy yourself!

Whatever your decision, we at WatchCrunch will cheer you on. Oh, and pester you for photos of your wristcandies. Yummy yummy yummy, wristcandy for eye-feast-y (sorry for the atrocious attempt at rhyming). 😛

I prefer a small collection, but everyone is different. I have my grail watch and two others right now. A G shock for working out and SKX for vacation, beach, etc.

Inexpensive watches for sure! Up to a few years ago I thought a watch more than 20 bucks was a ridiculous, something that would lead to the road of degradation and vice, so you gotta keep that in mind. My most expensive watch was 120 ish and I used a gift card someone gave me to buy it.

Yeah my main problem is i have 20+ watches equalling the price of 2-3 really nice ones so basically its a wash
