Blue? Grey? Black? Which is the best dial colour?

Which dial colour should I go for? It's so tricky when they all have their pros and cons, but also when they all look so good. I'm very much keen to ask for a Seiko 5 SRPE watch for Christmas, but I've been torn as to which colour I ask for. This would be my first mechanical watch and I want to get it right, especially since I'm not used to having a watch worth what the Seiko is. From what I've heard, the blue dial (SRPE53) looks really good but restricts the versatility of the watch a little. I've heard the grey dial (SRPE51) is a lovely sunburst in person and may offer a bit more versatility. And then the black dial (SRPE55) offers the most versatility, but I want the watch to have a bit of character and I feel the black maybe doesn't offer that so much. But then the grey (SRPE51) might not contrast with the case as well? It's tricky. I'm sure if I had these 3 watches to look at in person, it would be a much easier decision, but I really just don't know. What do you think? I was at first thinking about the grey dial (SRPE51), but then after seeing Teddy Baldassare reviewing the blue dial (SRPE53), I now lean more towards the blue dial variant. Which should I go for? I want to get it perfect! 🎯😀

I'd go blue but that's just MHO.

I would go with the black version 😎😎

I tried to vote blue but it selected another one. The voting system on this site sucks.

I have the grey one with the mat ring ( which comes on the grey nato). That combination is less prone to scratching. Pictured with a Barton leather and rubber hybrid strap if that's your thing!?

I prefer blue or black.

Grey is the new silver, and it suits metal straps mostly.
