Breitling Grand Premier Chronograph bracelet fail...

Asking for a friend (no, really, I am not a fan of chronographs...): the end link of his his bracelet is pivoting away from the case and does not seem to fit around it (as you can see on the second photo). Does anybody recognize this? He bought the bracelet later, so my guess is that this is a Breitling bracelet from another model with a longer lug. Any dealers/shops have the proper bracelet for this watch? It's discontinued. TIA!

After surveying Chrono24, the bracelet actually looks authentically ill fitting.  For whatever reason Breitling didn't actually fit it particularly well to the case.  Perhaps they were looking for something closer to a straight endlink look (bizarre because it has to be cheaper to make a straight end link bracelet).

I have no replacement bracelet recommendations but if he can't find a suitable replacement, I think it would look fantastic (and even Breitling appropriate) on a Staib Polished Mesh.

I thought the same thing, but I couldn't believe that Breitling actually would do that... I am already scoping third part bracelets, this one is great! Thanks!

I validate the answer of Bord168n.

The Breitling Super Ocean mesh bracelets are really great !

Stuff like this is why Breitling is a wear for yourself, not for resell kind of watch I suppose. That is shoddy as heck.

I would agree with both above recs of a straight end link. Forstner has good selection depending on lug length. Good luck.

And what did chronographs ever do to you?! Ha.

Please tell me this is yours… I have resisted Breitling personally for a long time but I’ve been listing over the new 43mm in sky blue.

Hah, no, it is not mine.  Breitlings have historically not fit on my wrist well and their QC issues are....well documented.  I like a lot of what they've done but it's not really an area of collection for me

They just... overcomplicate stuff (no pun intended) (or is it?)
I can't think of any situation in my life that I will need the functions of a chronograph. And also: I can't read a thing without my glasses, so all those nice little dials and numbers are just blurred stains if I look down on my wrist.

That said: if you have a spare Moongold Speedmaster with a green dial, I wouldn't say no...

Fair enough.

Yeah, you and me both on the gold.
