I think this is so underrated - am I the only one?

Absolutely love how this looks - anyone else think the same? Anyone have any experiences?

Thinking.................Which is always dangerous............🥳

It’s not a bad looking watch, that! What’s the ref? That’s the Superocean II 42mm isn’t it (that is a fantastic size and at 500m it’s got some good diving specs)

Personally, I’ve found Breitling to be in a strange and evermore crowded place in the market. Their offerings are sometimes striking but their area is now occupied by so many other brands that they are kind of being lost a little bit. In an era of ‘does it have an in-house movement?’ they might be losing ground in not being at the forefront of innovation in an increasingly competitive market (and price point)

That said, I did look at getting a Superocean Heritage B20 42mm which I still like the look of (it is based on a Tudor movement).

I went with the Omega SMP in the end - a decision I haven’t regretted :)

Love that "Flying B."

I'm with you on this one. I put a brietling post up not so long ago comparing old to new on the design front. I'm firmly on the old camp. It's a cracking watch and wears extremly well. I have my eyes on the 44 yellow dial. 💛

Yeah the Omega SMP300m is amazing. I had the blue one but found it a little too ‘shiny’. otherwise a beast of a watch 👍🏼

What are some others??

YES my man! Old >>>> New

This feels like it would be an amazing one-watch collection.

Got a little badass to it, Dig that flying B logo too

This particular SO never was my cup tea for the longest time. A YT video by YoureTerrific and a random guy at an airport bar with this exact models slowly won me over.

Absolutely fun and unabashedly bold and I like this much more than the refresh.

I like this version of the SuperOcean too. But in the end I got the SuperOcean Heritage B20 and the latest SuperOcean which looks like the original SuperOcean.

^This one really won me over - love how the matte finish looks on the bezel.

I think it is a good looking watch.  My favorite Breitling though has to be the older Super Ocean.

This was my first luxury watch…. Was 25 went with my sales manager to buy it from Beaverbrooks after my first big sale. Had a problem at the time with 0% finance as I didn’t have a credit score. Whilst unhappy walked past a grey dealers who had one in the window for pretty much the deposit on a new watch. Loved for the next 2 years…. probably one of two watches that I actually regret selling!

Hopefully one day you’re able to get it back!

The first ones are always special 👊🏼

She's an absolute beauty. Colours, proportions, design language... all #winning. If you've got the funds, I dont think, you'd regret the pickup. I'm happy with my Avenger 43 at the minute, but at some point I could see myself owning an "old" SO (although the new one's arent too shabby, despite everyone moaning about the movement and the price).

I’ve just reduced my collection to just the one piece. I THINK if I were to start again I’d explore different brands like Breitling and Tag.

And if I do, I’d definitely add this one 👊🏼
