Best vintage watch places to visit in Tokyo?

Hi fellow Crunchers,

I’m going to Tokyo, Japan end of next month and I’m looking for suggestions for areas to visit.

Places with Vintage watches would be really fun to visit.

Any Crunchers living in Tokyo?

First a disclaimer: I have never been to Tokyo. That said I have bought a vintage watch from a dealer there and I would definitely visit them if I were going. The shop is called ITEM and their website is timeanagram.com. Great selection of vintage pieces and I had a great buying experience. On their site it says they are in Shibuya Tokyo and you need to make an appointment. Have fun!

Awesome. I’ll check it out! Thanks

A good place to start is Nakano Broadway, a large multi-story mall in which there are a lot of watch shops including Jack Road. The latter is very impressive and you will feel like an overwhelmed kid in a candy store. But instead of candy there are watches. Lots and lots of watches. A Google search will provide more info about the location, etc.

Another shop I hear good things about is Private Eyes. It is not in Nakano Broadway but elsewhere in Tokyo.

Have a great time!

Agree about Time Anagram, which is a great website for vintage watches. Good call-out here. Would definitely love to check out ITEM next time I am in Tokyo.
