Is upgrading a watch's water resistance possible?

Just a thought I had, is it possible to make a watch more water resistant than stock? Better gaskets? Better sealing crown?

As far as I know, no simple or practical way of doing it. I didn't do a lot of research or reading but I have come across the question and it seems it's not just a simple "let's replace a gasket or crown" thing.

I guess it's quite reliant on case design and many other factors huh? 😭

Sure! Mostly it's because I have a preference for dressy watches and they're usually only rates for 3 ATM. I am quite sure it's fine for everyday water exposure but the more sporty, everyday-wearable dress pieces I was wondering if it was possible to increase the WR for peace of mind.
