Availability of Seiko Willard SPB153? Is it discontinued?
Fellow Willard owners and watchcrunchers, is the green dial Willard SPB153 discontinued?
I can find it online on few trusted sites but I have never seen one in person or available immediately at my AD. Before my AD was able to order ahead if I was interested in purchasing the particular model but yesterday I went by my AD and came to know they were not getting any more stock of this particular model.

Mine too, was holding on cause I was planning to get a MM200 first but probably going to pull the trigger on this one quicker
Not sure if it's discontinued but I just got one a few days ago from a reputable seller on ebay. They had very good seller ratings and I contacted him and asked him some questions. He said it was "like new" and indeed, it is in nearly mint condition. I can't find any flaws. It's a super cool watch, especially with its history and the movie connection. I paid about $700. I'm sure it can be found for cheaper, but this one was in good condition from a seemingly good seller, so I pounced.
I got my SPB183J1 about 4 months ago from an AD in Dubai. No indication that they were running low on Willards at the time, but I can no longer find it on their website.

The SPB183 was a limited edition Willard model. I'm also from Dubai and I know the AD Watch House. They currently have a small stock of the SPB153 still but I usually ask for a piece from newer stock if I plan to buy and then I came to know they weren't getting any new pieces of the green color variant. Their website is very random, better to visit the AD in the Mall of Emirates or Dubai Mall, plus you get quite a good discount in person.

Small world. I'm not living in Dubai, but make it there often. Yeah, the guys at the Dubai Mall location are great. I went there for the SPB153, but the relative discounts made the SPB183 cheaper (plus, I like blue).
Yes, it has been discontinued, at least the JDM version has...
I noticed when I was on the Gnomon Watches website and saw the listing for the green Williard that it stated, "Final Delivery".
I messaged them to see if the model was discontinued and got a personal response from Anders Tan (the owner). He confirmed it.
not fun to share this but yes, it is discontinued! Same goes for the mm200 steel bezel.
