Which is your favorite Sinn 556?

Sinn 556 is a legendary watch at this point and it has many variants today. I'm curious to know which one is your favorite model and why.

Personally, I like the most the Ranger-style 556A RS and the blue 556I B. The first seems the most toolish (utilitarian?) and legible to me and the blue one seems like the one that work in the most situations as it has a bit of dressy vibe to it. Also because I already have a Ranger I'm drawn to dials that are different from its dial.

Btw, does anyone know in which order were the various 556 models introduced? I assume it's something like:

  1. 556A

  2. 556I

  3. 556A RS & 556I RS

  4. Various dressier models

Still, I'd love to know for sure which is the "original" Sinn 556.

I love Sinn. I love the 903 personally after obsessing with a Navitimer and finding out the Sinn is 100m WR is the better watch. After the 903 I love the 140st

I don’t own a Sinn, but if I did, it would be the U50, almost exclusively due to the hands!

I like it as well, but given the playful dial I don't think I'll be able to wear it in many settings. Great watch for a day in shorts, though. :-)

556I B is definitely my go to if I were to buy one. The definition of a do-it-all watch for all situations, dressy or casual, if you ask me!

I have the 556i which I am happy with. If I was buying a 556 again I’d look closely at a 556A RS.

FWIW - I ended up buying a 556i on a H-link bracelet and I'm quite happy with it. Also - after some digging I learned that the 556i is the original 556. More on the topic - https://www.watch-wiki.net/doku.php?id=sinn_556
