Which brands are providing quick bracelet adjustment functionality (aka glidelock) these days?

Obviously Rolex is quite famous for their glidelock clasp. I'm wondering how common such clasps are in the wild these days. Based on my own observations - not very popular.

Tudor offer something similar for the Ranger (which I bought in part because of this) and the Pelagos and I believe Christopher Ward's current bracelets all feature such form of quick adjustment. Who else has similar bracelets?

P.S. I can't believe this is not more common, given that it's extremely comfortable and doesn't seem like something particularly complex/expensive to produce. If CW managed to do it at their price point I'm really wondering what is the competition thinking.

Literally the only thing that annoys me about my BB58 is the non existent glidelock. Please Tudor. It’s no that hard. U already did it on other watches.

·

My Chris Ward C60 Sapphire has got something similar.

·

My mido has a ratcheting extension.

I think monta and nodus have bracelets that do that

·

I have an Invicta with a locking quick adjuster (RapidRatchBuckle). Not as fancy as the Rolex but it works very well. You can kind of see it in this pic:

Brietling on the Superocean

Omega on the SMP and believe the Speedy has just been updated with a newer clasp.

I think Tag on some of Aquaracer line

·

The blue Citizen Promaster Titanium offers it as well

My Tudor Pelagos has a pretty good system.

I have always wanted a Zelos and their new clasp adjustment looks nice. Always gets highly praised in reviews.

·

The Citizen ratchet clasp mentioned by @romaker is on a lot of their bracelets. They work well

·

Zelos and Formex do. I think Tudor will eventually put it on the BB58. Like Omega are doing now with the Speedmaster Professional. My BB has an aftermarket EZ link style extension on it. Which does the trick.

Love it! My wrist is 17cm or 6.75 inches and it wears very well. Full review to come👍

The new omega speedy clasp has some quick adjustment, some IWC clasps been having it as well.

I never handled an IWC, but I'll make sure to try out a few in the future. I had no idea they had such fancy clasps.

I'm not sure which IWC models feature this - mine is the IW3881-02 Pilots Chrono 41.

In addition to having the best micro-adjust that I've personally experienced, they also feature a quick change bracelet system called EasX-CHANGE that allows the bracelet to be swapped in seconds without any tools. I currently don't have any straps that use that proprietary adjustment mechanism, but since it leaves the spring bars in place, it can also be used with regular straps as well. The use of regular straps requires removing the spring bars, which opens up the potential for scratches, something which isn't an issue with the straps that have the EasX-Change adapter.

·

Monta does. Here’s the Noble (but all models use the same bracelet).

They really need to spread that across the ENTIRE Black Bay lineup.

·

Tudor Ranger has T lock which is really exactly like the glide lock system and recommend and fully endorse it as my best bracelet on any watch I personally own !

Mido has been my favorite quick adjustment bracelet ever.

·

I like the IWC one over anything else. Though this tech is more of a “nice to have” and not a deal breaker imo

·

From my experience with on the fly micro adjust clasps, only have Rolex, Omega and IWC to compare, IWC is by far the best.

The T-Fit clasp is fairly new on their watches and the 58 came out before it. I’m sure they will add it at some point. Also the Ranger bracelet with the T-Fit fits the 58 so you could get that.

·

Not the most important thing I look for in a watch but it is also a nice feature to have at a certain price point.

Personally, I like compact quick adjustment clasps like the ones on IWC, Glashütte Original and Seiko LX/Astrons.

Doesn't necessarily add bulk to the watch and you get few points of adjustment which is easy to to use without opening the clasp.

The T-fit clasp on the Ranger is done correctly. On the Pelagos 39, the clasp is long and the dive extension addition makes it the T-fit clasp too bulky. Doesn't matter if you make a 39mm watch and put a very bulky clasp to offset it.

As a Ranger owner I agree. 😄 This T-lock bracelet was part of the reason I bought the Ranger and afterwards I've been thinking I can't really go back to a bracelet with something similar, so I have to be extra careful with future purchases.

My Tudor Pelagos has a pretty good system.

The Pelagos has a crazy great system!

·

My IWC has an easy adjust system also but sometimes it is to east touch the center and it moves..

Image
·

The IWC push button system allows the bracelet to be adjusted with one hand without taking off the watch. It's amazing and one of the main reasons I bought an Ingenieur: the best bracelet and clasp I've ever tried on. I have the Ranger bracelet too and the IWC bracelet and adjustable push button clasp is clearly superior. Still, the new t-fit Tudor bracelet is way better than bracelets I have seen on a lot of watches, particularly affordable ones but also some luxury watches (Omega Aqua Terra for instance). It is surprising how so many watches lack micro adjust even at very high price points.

There are plenty out there, but price bracket dependant it would seem

If you put all the bells & whistles on your budget range, why would anyone buy luxury I guess

Maybe we should create our own adjustable aftermarket clasp... Crunches unite 😁
