Birthday watch.

Today is my twin's second birthday so I am wearing the watch I had on when I met them.  This thing instantly takes me back to that day.  Since the twins were small(they both got over that...) we had a scheduled c-section, which was delayed several times that morning.  Every time I put this on, I think about nervously staring at the watch and waiting.  Waiting for the dr to start the surgery, waiting for my daughter to get out the nicu, waiting to finally hold both of them. This one is permanently staying in my collection until I give it to my son.  Don't worry, my daughter is getting my grandfathers watch, she is kinda named after him.  Do any of you have a watch with a good story or memory attached to it?

First off, congrats on being a father.  As you will know by now, it's quite a ride.  Second, no offense, but two babies is too many babies.  I like sleep, and two is just too many.  Third, I like that you had the stones to name your daughter after her great-grandfather, you certainly don't see many little girls named Rupert these days.  That's exactly the watch to hold onto, and everything that's great about watch collecting.  Cheers.

Thank you.  I certainly didn't intend on two at a time, but they are pretty good little sleepers.  I will tell my daughter Bob that you dont like her name.  Haha.  We used my great grandfather's middle name Ives, which is my middle name as well.  My wife's name is her dads middle name... so we wanted to keep that going.  We call her Ivey.

Love this story and I’m headed for a similar ride with boy/girl twins due in Jan. Plan to do the same with my watches and congrats again.

Beautiful. Congrats. I guess my story is I own a Tissot PR100 titanium that my wife (then girlfriend) got me for my birthday one year. It has been a staple in the collection. I proposed to her in that watch, and I married her wearing that watch. It is the only watch that is in my priceless watch box that is not my Father's or my Grandfather's. Every time I wear it I get taken back to that perfect day. Enjoy your watch and your family. Best of happiness to you all

Congrats and good luck!!  My wife got a book, Moms on call, and used that to help schedule everything.  She had them sleeping pretty good a few weeks in.

Not to get too personal but if you are doing formula, the Baby Brezza was a life saver.

I actually would have enjoyed Bob, but Ivey is nice too.

Haha, just bought it. Yeah we planned on only formula so I can help with feeding and scheduling will be a little easier. Glad that helped, some friends with twins told us the same.
