Back from service.

I got my trusty crusty Seiko 7002 back from what started as a service but then became a movement swap.  If you are familiar with Two Broke Watch Snobs, Baird occasionally guest hosts and services some watches.  I hit him up and he agreed to take it on.  After digging in, the issues were worse than a service and he sourced another movement.  The service was priced fair but honestly more than the value of the watch.  It would have made more sense to just grab another one on ebay, but much of this hobby doesn't make sense.  I wish I could account for all the patina on it, but now its ready for another 20 or so years of adding my own battle scars.

This is where I'm at with a couple watches.

On one hand, they are special to me, but on the other, I could use those funds to save up for a Grail.

Yours looks great and is obviously well-loved

I have this same problem with my Tissot. It cost me a few hundred bucks and I'm confidant the service will be way more. It still tells time and is accurate but the chrono isn't working well.
