Trouble in Paradise ๐ŸŒด

Help? My BB36 is acting up ๐Ÿ˜ฉ The last times I've set it it has been on and off with the hacking. Meaning that sometimes the second hand keeps sweeping while I can set the other hands. Seems like it hacks sometimes and usually consistently if I have given the crowns several tries on pulling it out .

It is nearly at it's service interval, so I guess I don't do anything with it until then? Or should I?

It's a 2018 model, so there should sit a top grade ETA inside. I think it's a strange issue... Have anyone else experienced anything similar?

I have the exact same watch however mines a 2019 Iโ€™ve never experienced that issue. Iโ€™d send it in for a service.

Hmmm... Seems like the lever or gear that stops the seconds are a bit slow to engage. Shouldn't be something that can damage the watch any further ๐Ÿค”

Sounds very dramatic ๐Ÿ˜… the watch is running fine!!

It's very obvious your watch has an identity crisis and wants to be a Seiko SNK. ๐Ÿ˜‰ But seriously, reports of a watch not hacking occasionally are quite common. Normally it's temporary. If it isn't, I would indeed send the watch for service, not because that I think the hacking problem is severe, but that it might not be the only issue.

True true... I probably will habe to wait until early next year at least because I have spent my watch cash for a looong time ๐Ÿ˜œ

Clearly the watch is defective. ย You should trade it in for a Row-leks.๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜œ

You know, I've heard of this sort of weird hacking problem with Miyota movements but never an ETA and never an ETA in the highest grade (which is the one I assume Tudor is using). ย I think you will have few regrets sending it in for service.

Did you buy it at an AD and what is the warranty status? ย It may be something you ought to take up with them.

Iโ€™d send it in. It sounds like your hacking lever is off. As that engages the balance spring, Iโ€™d be afraid it could break it if it is too far off.ย

I guess the warrenty is 5 years. Got to double check. But got the papers from a foreign AD, but I guess the local AD for Tudor will help me out with warrenty stuff? Maybe I end up getting a free service ๐Ÿค”

Definitely see if you can. I know warranties are weird for grey market but I do know that if you bought used and have the card, in the United States, warranties are fully transferrable.

I have the same experience with my Watches with a Sellita SW220 movement. Iยดve read that it can happen sometimes and if it hacks on the second try itยดs ok, if everything else is working fine.ย

I usually will work on second tries and everything else works. But have returned it for some warrenty covered repairs (hopefully ๐Ÿคž).

You have not done anything with it and it's been fine? Long time?

I just tried to ignore it and i havent had any problems. It was my Sinn 104 and it worked perfectly besides the hacking problem. I put in on the timegrapher and everything looked fine.ย

The watch still is covered by warrenty but i didnยดt want to give it away for weeks, but maybe that was wrong... but as long as it works

Edit: it first happened about a year ago and it still runs fine, about +3-+5 sec/day.

I don't think it's wrong ๐Ÿ˜Š I just thought I'd take advantage of the warranty, just in case.
