I'm really considering putting some fake age on this by taking some fine sandpaper to all of the outer edges 🤔 Just a touch?
Anybody done anything similar? Any thoughts? I think it will turn out real badass 😎

I would leave it be…make real life scratches wear it more. I think real wear will make it more badass than fake one…just my 2 cents…

I am against the whole fake aging thing, which is so common in furniture. IMO, wear has to be earned. Leave it alone and let every scratch be part of the story of your journey with it.

All just folks opinions. I say do it if you want! I would be annoyed if I aged it poorly by one awkward swipe. Whilst, flailing arms and epic clumsiness (World Champ 1987-2022) at least means you left the scratch up to the universe!

I was just thinking about giving the edges a gentle swipe, just to get it going 😅 I like it now too, but feels a bit to shiny for a G?

It's a shiny dude! it'll take lots of swipes to get rid. Go Fallout on it. There's a watch brand whose name I can't remember (I'm sure someone will!) that sell watches with aging predone. @benswatchclub I think reviewed one previously
I agree with everyone who said leave it alone. Wear and tear comes as time passes if you want something that's aged buy a worn out Casio on eBay. No need to destroyed your hard earn purchase.

It's an Italian brand. The coating isn't so hard. Got a couple of scratches already ☺️

This is an endless topic in the guitar community, too. If you can afford buying a new one in case you screw it up, I say do it 🤷🏻♀️, it'll be a DIY project like the screen mods 😆.
