New Job!! Looking to spend first quarterly bonus on a nice office/GADA timepiece

So I've been trying to find a new job for the better part of a year and I think I finally nailed the best job for my career at this point. They are a business casual office and I'll be going in most days. I've got the wardrobe updates pending, but wanted to plan a nice treat to myself to celebrate landing the job, using what will be my first quarterly bonus.

Looking for a dressy/quirky office piece on the smaller side (36-40) preferably on a bracelet. Currently debating between a Longines Black Heritage Sector Dial, a Farer Worldtimer (Roche or Aldrich), but looking for other opinions/options. Want to keep it under 3k if possible.

Seiko Presage?

I would also say Seiko Presage or something from Nomos. Congrats on the job!

·

Congratulations!  Of yours, I like the blue Farer.  Nomos is a good call; what about Anordain?

·

Congratulations on the job!

Have fun watch shopping!

·

Congratulations!!!

Have you considered any of the following?

  • Sector dial

  • Titanium dressy-ish watch - Baby Snowflake
Introducing the Seiko Presage "Baby GS Snowflake" ref. SARX055, a JDM Release With a Nod to Grand Seiko - Worn & Wound

If you wanted to go more "tool" you could go Sinn - to me longines represents a level of quality at the 2-3k pricepoint that is really not matched - so on specs alone. You may look at the cartier tank solorbeat , or something used - which is probably the route i'd go.

·

I love that Longines Sector Dial. Simple, classy, and versatile.

·

So SOTC for reference. I have a gs snowflake, a rado captain cook tradition mk2, a tsao legacy gmt (profile pic), two casioaks both modded, a few Dan Henry chronos, a brew 8bit and a lorier Hyperion.

anordain has been on the list too but out of stock colors.  Not looking for tool but originally was gonna hop on a traska commuter in mint for fun and ended up passing.  Baltics are nice and I’m gonna be in Paris in the summer and was gonna check them out.

I like complications done well and the two I like the most are gmt and chronos.  I used to be all diver all the time and sold them all. Will eventually grab a Tudor Lhd or am omega smp300 to fill that void.

time only no date is not something i want in bulk but the sector longines certainly speaks to me

Pre-owned tudor bb58

Christopher ward

Breitling

Tissot seastar

Longines zulu time

·

Alpinist. And a great custom strap.

·

Congrats! Out of the watches you posted — I’d go with the Farer on a leather strap. A vintage GS for 1-2k on a leather strap would be baller. Good luck picking… it can be tough.

·

longines sector are a cool choice, another alternative would be sinn 556. its simple and versatile, fit with every situation

You said quirky, ok, hear me out...it's a little big at 55.5mm, but it is dress casual:

Zulu time green on bracelet is definitely one I’m considering but pushes the budget a bit.  Besides need something to be a purchase next year to celebrate something lol

Literally monster 👹 😂😂😂

This watch is beautiful 😍 Out of my budget unfortunately 😅

·

Any of the following would be awesome.
Seiko Alpinist (SPB119 with a cognac leather strap oooof!) , Sinn 556 or Tudor BBPro would be my recommendations!

·

I love the Omega Aqua Tera for a GADA.

I personally think a GADA needs a bracelet, 200m WR and a smooth bezel.

If you want a budget GADA check out the Pagani PD1723 no date with a PT5000 is a pretty good contender for >$150.

And what did you buy for the new job?

And what did you buy for the new job?

Well nothing but impulse bought the farer 36mm gmt in sea coast and plan to pick up the Baltic reverse panda tricompax in September when it’s back. And if my friend buys my snowflake maybe a bbpro or bb36 jubilee

·

That Blue Farer GMT on mesh 🔥

·

That world timer is sweet. But after trying on a bunch of stuff, the BB36 will 100% be coming home with me at some point. The anthracite dial is sick and the new bracelet melted into my arm
