SOTC 2023 - Happy New Year!!

I went a bit overboard with the watch purchases this year. I’ve been collecting on and off for over 25 years and usually buy 1 watch every 3-4 years, but I purchased 6 in 2023. No regrets except that I parted with my first and still loved Omega SMP to partially fund my beautiful Omega Aquaterra to commemorate my 20 year wedding anniversary.

That said, after going overboard in 2023, I came up with some new rules of engagement for my watch collecting in 2024…

  1. Set goals and/or limits or it becomes an endless mission. My next watch goal is a Tudor Pelagos and only if and when it feels right.

  2. Pause and just enjoy what I have! The current collection is so pretty…lol.

  3. Share the love with others! Got my wife and kids started on their collections.

  4. Always be grateful for the collection and the memories (and scratches) they collect over the years.

Happy New Year Crunchers!!!

Excellent collection! Can’t beat Christopher Ward in value for money and I absolutely love my Bamford edition G-Shock! Classy all around, cheers 🍻 and happy new years!

Is that a Citizen Campanola? I was just watching a Talking Watches with one of those. I’m interested in them.

It’s a Citizen Caliber 8700 Perpetual Calendar. It’s such a workhorse and I’ve had it for 15 years and the Eco Drive still work great. The Campanola looks like a pretty awesome piece!!

Thats an amazing collection! That Aqua Terra is a beauty for sure, and such a great piece to commemorate your anniversary.

Love your goals for this year as well. It's often all too easy to be swept up in the hunt and forget to just pause and enjoy.
