Hi there y'all, first post on watchcrunch. This is my first automatic watch, one that I got during covid. When I got it, I was ecstatic to wear it—not anywhere in particular, really just around the house since it was still lockdown. From the embossed faux-alligator strap to the applied indices, the watch works with textures and dimension as best as it can. At that time, I had only been a portrait and car photographer, taking pictures of details that you could see with the naked eye. That changed a few months ago, when I started exploring watch and macro photography.
Using a macro lens to get closer with the dial made me appreciate the details even more. It was a whole new world than I originally imagined. The ability to feel like you're between the crystal and the dial, to see a seconds hand jolt across the dial, to see the minutes hand inching towards the next marker. It's its own ecosystem, self-regulated and healthily going about its day, that you can get lost in if you indulge in its grace for a little while longer.
