what bracelet, strap, nato, etcetera... maybe MN even, is the most thief proof bracelet you can have on your watch, assuming, no guns or threats are being involved, but more these motorcycle or pickpocket style thefts do you guys think is the best?
I have a Milanese strap with the regular clasp and then a fold over that keeps that in place.
I forget the 2nd part is there, so that seems fairly secure
I'd say a thick and stiff zulu type straps with the extra strap folded over and tucked in well. If a strap is difficult or a hassle for you to put on and take off then it's the same for a pickpocket thief. If you realy want to confuse them then put the strap on the watch the other way around. You can also put a zulu /nato strap on in such a way similar to a bracelet where you have to feed your hand through the strap, that's even more difficult to unbuckle and then take off.. Also if a thief tries to yank it off your wrist there are 2 springbars that need to fail in order for it to be successful compared to 1 springbar with a regular strap or bracelet. The more steps and the more unusual they are the harder it is for a thief to steal your watch without you noticing.
I’ll second the fold over - requires 2 separate motions in right sequence to remove
fingernail under fold over, then squeeze the side buttons
Quite awkward to do quickly. Especially if you aren’t used to it
insure your watches if you are worried. It is inexpensive and gives you comfort in wearing them. Add them to your home or renters insurance.
I'd be more concerned about what my watch is attached to. Let them have my watch.
Is your life worth any watch? If someone wants your watch they are going to get it.
A Seiko 5
I would wager the spring bars are the weak point in most straps.
Tudor fxd then
That is true. Any reasonable quality strap will not tear before bending the spring bars to the point of failure.
Or something like this screw system that my Ebel 1911 has going on...
