Am I crazy if I pay 2k for The Citizen

More specifically, Citizen The Citizen Chronomaster AQ4024-53Y….

a two tone, high accuracy quartz. That 2k can go to so many other options…but this citizen checks a bunch of boxes for me..

or am I foolish to spend that amount of money for a citizen

Nah, dude, that Citizen is absolute fire!!!

The more time I spend with my quartz GS, the more I question why in the world I even have mechanical watches.

The two-tone seals the deal. That Citizen is awesome!!!

Only crazy if you can't really afford it, otherwise it's your money so just do it 👍

You’d pay a lot more for a 9f powered GS, and while I’ve never seen a Chronomaster myself, I’ve heard the finishing is amazing, so it actually seems like a good deal. See if you can get it in hand first and if not, know the return policy

Yes

Nope. Worth the asking price

Crazy like a fox! That is beautiful and I'm sure Citizen can make as fine a watch as anyone when they decide to play in the deep end. Plus, you'll only have to set it once. I vote go for it! Report back, please! 😎

A Japanese version of a American Psycho watch ;)

Two-tone not my cuppa, but the Citizen Chronomaster is one of the well kept secrets of the watchworld. How many perpetual calendar with this kind of finish and engineering can you buy for $ 2K ?

Bought an AQ4091-56 L last year and, if I'm honest, it sits a the top of my collection, on par with a Grand Seiko SBGN003 (another HAQ) and my Tudor BlackBay 58. For less money than either of these two.
