Vacheron Constantin Fifty-Six Self Winding (Dream Watch Reviews)

With a watch that dates back to 1956, I must say in 2023 I'm super impressed. I love watching reviews on this masterpiece. Truly hope one day this will be added to my collection.

Anyone else have your Dream Watch Reviews? A Richard Mille? PP?

Love this watch. My dream watch is a minute-repeater. Can't wait.

I considered the VC 56 when looking for an everyday/office watch. But I found a flaw that bothered me (we all have our watchmaking obsessions and here is one of mine) : the date disc is (slightly) too deep compared to the date window apertude.

It is a red flag for me, even for a 200 € watch 😢

Wow thanks for pointing this out.

I tried the overseas on recently in a VC boutique and was stunned how beautiful the blue dial is , unfortunately their is a 5yr wait as regards videos on watches I don't really watch them prefer to get physical with a watch I'm going to buy

Nooo!

I was looking at the image and thinking how pretty this watch looks, and I like small date apertures for the symmetry they afford. But now you have mentioned that I can't unsee it. At least the colour mact on the date wheel is spot on!!!

Well, I love this watch. This is an alternative to the Rolex Datejust. Albeit, it is rarer than the Datejust.

The bracelet is adjustable, you can stretch out maybe 0.5 cm from both side of the butterfly bracelet.

A wonderful sector dial watch. And it has lume. Not many sector dial watches come with lume.

A rare steel bracelet watch for a holy trinity watch.

The price is also on the lower side of their catalogue.

I heard that the movement is based on Cartier. Well, it ticks at 28,800 bph. Just like any other Swiss watch. I can’t notice any difference. I just know that it’s pretty accurate and it has hacking (lol), thats good enough for me

Awesome on your wrist.

Wish it didn’t have a date window on that dial design otherwise it’s lovely

Such a shame their waitlists are so long. In my country they are a Stand-Alone boutique now.

·

How long are the waiting lists for the 56 in the UK?

·

I just walked into a boutique today and it’s available for purchase, should I pull the trigger?
