Ultimate PRX: Quarts or Automatic?

The Tissot PRX is value for every penny. I simply have an addition to the PRX. Made very well, classic Tissot and the design is a classic oak. I love the quick fix straps and options. But if you had to choose one, which one? Quartz or Automatic

Awesome stuff. I personally think if it's one watch...Automatic is the way to go. But since they are so reasonable, why not one each.

Quartz is closer to my price range, but I just love that dial on the powermatic. If the quartz PRX had that dial, I would have it already.

You will love it

I have been planning on buying a PRX for a few months now, and normally I am attracted to mechanical watches, but this time I plan on going Quartz. I think that the value of what you are receiving it’s just too good to pass up on the quartz models, especially if you can find them on the gray market. After having a handful of mechanical watches for a while, I’m really open to having more quartz watches in my collection, the set it and forget it mentality is perfect for someone like me.

Completely agree. I love how they designed it with quicklink straps. The options are endless.

Auto was WAY too top heavy and the butterfly clasp sucked more because of that. Going with a Nivada F77 instead.

When I changed to the DeLugs strap it changed everything about the watch. Will do the same with my Power80

I actually looked at both versions today, and I personally don't like the dial on the auto. It's lackluster in person compared to the quartz dial.

I like the look of the quartz, and especially like the price. But, two things I can't get past. First, the non-framed date window. Second, and most important, the seconds hand that does not - at least on the videos of the watch I've seen - exactly hit the indices. Can't stand that.

So, Powermatic 80 Blue dial it is for me!
