BlancPain Flyback is it a pain?

Before I begin my post I must share:

  1. I absolutely love this watch and the brand

  2. I鈥檝e been interested in flybacks - complication

However, for most of us when it comes to the chronograph hand we expect it to return to the 12 O鈥檆lock precisely.

This unique timepiece returns to the 1201 mark.

Would this bug you? Would you be happy if they exchanged it out for a new one? Would love to hear the crunchers thoughts

@kernit I say it is!!! Everytime you reset it's off by one sec. Or even if you want to time something, it's off. It would bug me.

Does it return to 12:01 by design? Or is it a flaw? If it鈥檚 flawed I would want it serviced asap.

my seamaster does it too 馃槩. i think this is an qc issue

It should reset to 12 precisely. I have about a dozen chronographs and they all do. I'd suggest getting it repaired or replaced.

Have you reset it? If the hands are reset and it continues to go to .01 it should definitely be replaced. That's a clue to more problems. The chronograph hand in its self could be loose or the catch do hickey (forget what it's called) could be stripped or cracked. I would definitely get it checked out.

Mine was just 2 weeks old so I brought it in to be checked, serviced or replaced

Totally agree...was advised by a dear friend to totally have it checked since it's such a young one...2 weeks old.

Not wanting to bag on your purchase so apologies, but the watch costs around 拢15K , at some point you have to state the obvious, the watch game is an utter clown show. At this price point basic function shouldn't be a QC issue.

Might be angle of the photo but it also looks like the bezel is misaligned.

Personally I would return it and get a refund and move on.

Good luck 馃憤

I鈥檝e had my 50F鈥檚 for 8 years and mine doesn鈥檛 do that so yeah I would recommend you take it back and get it replaced or fixed.

Bring it back to have it fixed. That should definitely be returning to 12:00 precisely. Expect a seriously long wait on getting it back though. The Frequency on my FF Bathyscpahe complete calendar was all wonky from the factory and it took 5 1/2 months for them to repair it. . . I guess thats what happens when each watch is hand-made 馃槵
