Affordable Pepsi Diver / GMT for tiny wrist please?

I need help in finding a watch with:

  1. Pepsi bezel, either Dive or GMT.
  2. Under 40mm diameter. For my tiny wrist, even 39mm already feels big. The smaller the better, I guess?
  3. Under $200 (even better if under $150).
  4. I don't mind quartz. For this budget, I think I expect most options to be quartz.

My first choice was Timex Q Reissue but I get the feeling now that the hype has died down a little, I can get better for this price. However, better bang-for-your-buck watches than this (like Seiko or Orient or Casio Duro) are all 40mm or bigger.

Any recommendation is appreciated 😀

PS: I considered SKX015 but honestly the SKX prices are too high nowadays for me

But at 44mm I can't wear it. Like legit seriously I've tried it on and it hanged off my wrist, not just "oh it's big and it looks funny". The lug-to-lug is longer than my wrist width 😭

·

i think duro are too big on your wrist, my recommendation would be timex q. since it got smaller diametre. and dont worry about the hype, if you like it just go for it

·

I like the Timex Q, but have you considered the Invicta Prodiver 8933?  Amazon has one for $53.77.   37.5mm

I haven't looked at any Invicta. Thanks I'll check it out!

I know it’s out of your budget, but if you really wanted a mechanical option, Islander has a nice option. It retails $299 USD though.

It seems like everyone on this site can’t stand their logo, but I guess if you can “look past it” (I like their logo personally), then it might be a good option if you can justify spending the extra.

·

You might like the Seiko skx025. A tad smaller (and cheaper) than the skx015

Orient Mako II. It's 40mm but I think it wears smaller because of the reasonably short lugs..

Another option would be a 38mm Islander if you can find one pre-owned.

New, these are $299, but I have seen one on eBay below $200.

I personally don't understand the islander logo hate, but at $300 plus international shipment plus the import tax... yeah that's way over my budget.

It's a great watch tho. 38mm, automatic, sapphire, etc. On paper it sounds great!

My first automatic was the Pepsi Orient Mako II back in 2017. You cannot go wrong with this selection. Dial is sunburst blue and truth be told, received more compliments on this piece than my BB58.

However, if I was in market today, I would take a hard look at the Islander posted above. Sapphire crystal AND sapphire bezel? Unbelievable specs for that price point.

Came here to recommend Islander, but I saw your comment about being over budget. Purchasing parts and building a watch is a fun option.  Prices of NH35 movements are getting back to pre-pandemic levels ($35 to $40) and there are definitely Pepsi bezel options. Doing a complete build for $150 is possible.

Great watch for the money! Not sure about the dollar but the automatic would be 100 euro. Had it for years at 40mm and it's running class and suits my skinny arse wrist!

I think they're pretty underrated tbh

Ali Express and Amazon you can roll the dice on them Chinese is not a bad ideal if you like.

·

Personally, I would pass on the Timex Q. In my opinion, with the recent release of the NH34 GMT movement, it would be worth waiting and keeping an eye on microbrand and chinese watch releases for the next year. I have a feeling that the exact watch you're looking for will be released with that movement within the next year.

I am an Orient fan through and through.   They represent the best quality of the 3 more affordable options.  Do yourself a favor and chose the Orient for fewer issues down the road.

I like islander watches because they prove microbrands can do better than well known brands. At least in terms of specs, can't deny islander is the best bang for your buck. Too bad I gotta pay for the customs plus international shipping

Oh my god, I admit this is the first time I realized skx025 can be found for cheaper than skx015. This is awesome! Alrighty I'm gonna hunt for this next. Thank you 😊

I mean... I have a Seagull and it's great. But I'd rather get the Timex Q over Chinese Ali express divers, I think

You're talking about the Seiko SSK GMT movement yes? True, if I only wait for a bit some other microbrands are gonna come out with Pepsi GMT... Good point

I'm a big fan of Orient too. I currently have 2 Orient Star watches, with 2 more on the way. But the ones I have aren't divers and they're all 38mm or smaller.

Orient DIVERS however... I really really want a Kamasu, but it's just too big. If only there's a Baby Kamasu or Baby Triton

As far as I know,  there is no smaller version from Orient.   Bummer.

What country? We can check for microbrands in your area to avoid customs/fees.

Right on I would do the same here too. Timex so far has been impressive with there watches so I would go Timex all the way.

I also prefer watch under 39mm for my small wrist 😅 Maybe you can try with SKX013 and change the bezel insert into pepsi?
