And thats perfectly fine, and i completely 100% understand. G-Shocks are usually Massive, chunky, clunky.. definately not for everyone.

This is why i am glad i joined though. I love to converse and learn others thoughts. And i will NEVER judge or go at someone for their likes and dislikes. I just like to chat and discuss.

What in your opinion " Makes " a good watch ?

Are you more into Craftsmanship and materials ?

If you are , i understand that. In a past life i was a machinist so i HIGHLY respect craftsmanship..

And of Course i would Love a masterpiece of craftsmanship on my wrist.

But in my day to day life, and work..

It would not fit into my lifestyle. It would be more in line with a Tuxedo.. something that gets worn once or twice a year, which would make it Even More Special.

But for day to day.. i need something rugged i can rely on, and with enough bells and whistles to be enjoyable.

That is where my love for the G-Shock comes from. Im not really into the brightly colored and flashy models.. but my personal Mudmaster is Special to me and scratches my itch.

Not saying it will scratch yours, and i think that is awesome. We All have our own personal tastes, and likes.

I really just enjoy the conversation to be honest. And im not trying to sway your opinion. Just giving you my reasoning.

Because no matter what your budget is.. from $30 to $5k...

G-Shock has you Covered.

You can get a watch that while may Not be the Most Beautiful or lavish watch.. it will Always Work. And will Always be in Style.

My brother has a Casio from 30 years ago, that he threw a $2 battery in the other day and " BAM " working flawlessly.

I have a GWG-1000 that Eclipses 90% of my small Collection just in Versatility alone. If i bang it, oh well its good, if i drop it, oh well its good, if i get it soaked or covered in oil, water, etc etc,.. oh well its good.

And i can still wear it anywhere and everywhere and still get asked about it.

I get they are not for everyone..

But even for those that question them..

They still make sense

Buy my personal Grail. Because no other can take its place.. you can buy a bunch of watches that are ALMOST your Grail...

But you will still only lust for the one grail

New member..

But i will add that i was pleasantly surprised by the wearability of the Seiko Prospex Safari. It is an extremely comfortable strap, and wears just right. Not too tight, not too loose. And in my eyes is a pretty little watch to boot
