This post was inspired by the recent addition of a Glycine badge to the site while I was out on vacation. So excited! 😀
I have two watches from Glycine which I adore -- a Combat Sub (GL0076):
and an Airman (GL0217):
I think that they're some of the best bang for the buck watches I own. I also keep eyeing new ones to acquire. How many of you have a Glycine (or 2 or 3 or more)? Do you love them or hate them? Did the Invicta Group acquisition ruin them for you? I haven't noticed any real decreases in quality from them. Has anyone else?

That's double time cool!!😎 Love um...
WOW! That DC-4 rocks!
Not going to lie, stopped looking at them once they were bought by Invicta. The older models with the old logo are still very cool pieces, but call me a watch snob, I don’t want to support Invicita’s shady marketing and design tactics. They are already on the tv shopping channels like Invicta with “over 75% off MSRP.” Clearly trying to deceive people who don’t know better. Can’t support that in anyway.

Thank you! I picked it up off of eBay around Xmas 2020, and I'm so glad I did. It's one of my favorites in my collection, and I love it despite the wart that is the cyclops.
It came on an olive green NATO, but since NATOs aren't really my thing, I swapped it out for the Strapsco beads of rice bracelet for that amazing 50s vibe.
So far, I am very pleased with both my vintage Glycines as well as my modern references. The Combat Sub is a classic and great all around dive watch for under $500. And, of course, the Airman is a great pilot watch.
I gave my Combat Sub to a friend who had just recently started collecting - he was super happy to have it.
