What makes you connect with a watch?

It is not the price, or the exklusive limited edition, not the movement. I am simply driven by the emotions connected to it. I bought this 1979 Seiko A159 busted and dirty and refurbished it with a new crystal amd lots of polishing. It feels like it has been me since forever and I love the classic retro vibe. Could wear it every day and push those lovely buttons.

Seems that some watches just resonate with us while other, often superior watches don't. I often prefer wearing one of my cheap Casio's than my more elaborated mechanical watches.

The design, and functionality

Basically a purpose built watch

I've been doing research on the Seiko watches of James Bond. It really feels like a romantic era of quartz watches.
