Vintage piece find by Citizen - Give your opinion :)

Hey watch community, first post from my account. I would like to share this finding from an online marketplace of second hand stuff.

After some research, it comes out that this is a piece from Citizen, ref. GN-4W-S from the seventies. Anyway it look in a quite perfect state of condition. It seems like a Citizen Tsuyosa (and the bracelet remember me of the Tissot prx) but with 36 mm of diameter, which is fantastic for my small wrist.

And more importantly it matches perfectly my need for a budget automatic watch (about 50 euro) with a white dial, for the spring season.

I would love some opinions on this one (considering its absolutely cheap price). I think this may be kind a steal and a good vintage piece, considering details such the og bracelet and the eagle on the dial. Thanks for your attention and have a good day!.

I have a soft spot for these old citizens. @GasWorks does refurbs of these from time to time, which look lovely.

I would say buy it immediately! I have a similar model.

It's an Eagle 7 which is Citizens answer to the Seiko 5. They are quite collectable and slightly cheaper to buy than the equivalent seiko. Mine has been reliable and keeps good time. The movement is well liked.

My one has a non issue gold ring around the crystal. I bought it from Gareth@gasworks.

Highly recommended!

Nice watch, great price. If it was me it would already be brought.

I had to cobble mine together from a service station watch case with an old citizen dial powered by a new Swiss Ronda 507 quartz. I should have cleaned the crystal off 1st here.

Nice Seven. You can look up the serial number and get month and year of production at https://serial-number-decoder.com/citizen/citizen.htm. That should have an 8200A inside

Solid little watch for €50. I would expect it has a Miyota 8200 movement (says 8200 on the dial too)

Much maligned movement but I've always found them to be fine.

I love these old Eagles. I have a few and they run so well. I hope yours is still going strong.
