What is your most accurate watch?

I do enjoy tracking the accuracy of my watches against the atomic clock. I know it's unnecessary, but I find it amazing how accurate and consistent watches can be.

My most accurate is the Seiko SNA411 Flightmaster. It has been less than 1 second off per month since I've had it.

My most accurate and consistent mechanical is the Tudor Black Bay 58, which usually gains about 1 second after wearing all day, and loses that second when left crown up overnight. So it pretty much stays spot on when worn every day.

What's your most accurate?

I don't have a timegrapher, but I've been seriously considering getting one and attempting some regulation on a couple watches. But I'm hesitant to open up my watches and start poking around.

My Timex Atlantis is my most accurate, it's off by a minute over the span of a 18 months.

I don't really bother with tracking most watches though, they are always close enough to the correct time that it never actually impacts anything.

Personally I don't care much about accurate time.

This SLGA007 has not lost a second since I acquired it.  Maybe, +0.5s against an atomic clock if I'm being critical but even then I might be just imagining it.  This is over 4 months, simply amazing

Very nice! A Spring Drive GS is at the top of my list right now.

Oh none of my watches are accurate, mostly because they are either not being wound, except the quartzes and I’ve usually set them to one of the numerous clocks in the house that are also wrong. It’s like the different floors of my house have different time zones. Some of my mechanicals lose minutes a day, I think one does 5 at most.  I’m not great at time-keeping so it doesnt bother me.

Maybe I saw Back to the Future too many times as a kid. When Doc Brown has all those clocks perfectly synchronized. That’s how I try to keep all my clocks and watches when possible. I’m not obsessive about it, but I do find it fun and satisfying when a watch predictably matches up to the atomic clock down to the second, or all 4 clocks in the kitchen change at exactly the same time.

Mine would be the Casio GW-B5600BC-1B but that's cheating because it has radio sync (I'm not in within affected region/range) and Bluetooth sync. Even without that, it's quartz and none of my mechanicals are chronometers (yet).

Purely mechanical? Almost any Lange & Söhne, which in my experience gains/loses a few seconds a week. Pretty crazy...

·

Using a time graphed and regulating your watches can be fun and frustrating at the same time. Just remember your trying to straddle -+0 with the time variance window... Also recognize that the accuracy over several days in multiple positions will vary from the time graphed readings ever so slightly.

My Grand Seiko SBGX341.  It is quartz, and after a few months of wear it is still dead on.

I'm sure I'm not the only person wondering what app you use for this data.

·

I’m using the app, WatchTracker on my iPhone.  I’m not sure how it stacks compared to other tracking apps, but i like it. The pic below is from the Apple App Store if you want to check it out.

Thanks for the info.  I'm rockin' an Android phone, so I'll have to check their store to see if they have it.  I use similar apps, but they don't chart any of the data, so that's a compelling feature and what caught my eye.

Just checked the Google App store, and they don't provide it.

·

For me it is my Damasko DS30. Has only gained 12 seconds since I set it in February. More accurate than my quartz watches (granted, they are cheap quartz watches), but still impressive for a ETA2824!

Sorry they don’t have it - but, tbh, the app’s UI and the features set are a bit clunky and dated. It’s ok, but could certainly use an Update. :-)

I've found the same with my DS30, exceptionally accurate for an ETA2824. Makes me wonder if they regulate the movements before they case them? Either way excellent watches for the price and now discontinued in this configuration 😢. I've seen a couple on Chrono24 and there asking ridiculous prices in excess of 2K AUD now. So my advice is hang onto your beautiful Damasko for now 👍
