Not by the hairspring of my Sinny Sinn Sinn

A couple weeks ago I took a bunch of pictures of my Sinn 556i, then packed it away, all ready to put up for sale. Hopefully it would go to a good home. But this Wednesday morning, I suddenly wondered, “by Odin’s beard, am I making a mistake?” So, It’s back on the Fluco strap, and back on the wrist for one last chance. Will it make its mark this time? Or be cast from Asgard once and for all? Only time will tell this time teller’s fate.

That's a really great looking watch! You gotta keep it

Absolutely love the simplicity. Keep it!

Having several watches in the same situation, your post was very close to me 😂 I keep coming back to the 556 on a short list. How did it end up on the chopping block? Upgrade or just bored with it?

Oh man, I’ve done this a few times before selling something on. Can you save the relationship with some strap therapy or is it time to let her move on?

Keep it. Has reminded me how nice Sinn field/tool watches are, especially comparing to Tudor's Ranger release. Simple yet so clean and sharp.

There is a strong contrast between this Sinn, and most of my collection. The clean simplicity and German minimalist design are what attracted me to it initially. But from day one, I had trouble getting it to fit. I found the bracelet clasp very uncomfortable with sharp edges on the underside, and always either too loose or too tight. The leather strap it came with was thick with no taper, a bit stiff, and also seemed to be right in between a proper fit. So it saw no wrist time and became just a liability that would be better off helping to fund something else. But there's something about the simple black dial that brings back memories of the instrument panel of the 1980 Volkswagen Jetta I drove to high school. The efficient, tool-like, but still finely crafted case, and highly legible, crisp dial can finally be fully appreciated thanks to a properly fitting strap (at least for now). To sell this Sinn would diminish my collection. I'm glad I sat on it for a few weeks before rushing to sell it.

This is possibly my favorite offering from Sinn. I think it’s sharp, but if you’ve spent this much time thinking about getting rid of it, maybe it’s time to let it go

I did the same with my OP41 after owning it for about 5 months.

What a great watch. It is one of my few real grails..

A perfect example of German austerity. The Fatherland is proud of you for keeping this watch.
