My new Submariner 124060 is HERE! But which is better? Date or No Date?
It’s been a long time coming, but I’ve finally added the iconic Rolex Submariner “no-date” ref. 124060 to the collection! As nice as the date version of this watch is, from the clean and symmetrical dial, no cyclops and flat clean crystal, I truly beleive this is the purest and ultimate sub for me. But what do you think? 124060 or 126610LN? Date or No Date? Look forward to hearing your thoughts!

I like the No Date Submariner more than the Sub Date.

I much prefer the no date Sub. As useful as a date complication is, I'm not a fan of date windows at 3 o'clock, especially with the horrid cyclops, and would much rather have the nice, clean symmetrical dial than the less appealing date version.

Plus the no date is the original!

Thanks bro! Yeah this was exactly my thinking too! I don’t hate the cyclops but I prefer the symmetry and clean crystal of this version too! 114060 is still a terrific watch! I was considering it until I decided to go for broke with this one! 😅

I have a friend who went to check out both - and so I followed him. I really think the date version's cyclops throws the entire watch balance off. But then again, that's just me.
Hence - the Submariner needs to be a no-date for me!
if you like the date but not the cyclops, you could opt for the Seadweller 16660 or 116600.
I've owned the 5 digit and currently own the 6 digit sd4k - both are winners and both are exceptional
