Best of the colored dial OPs?
Greetings folks! It’s great to be on this platform to share my watch passion with like minded lovers of timepieces! I have to start with sharing my first Rolex and a watch that I absolutely adore: my Rolex Oyster Perpetual 124300 41mm Green Dial. This is really the watch that started it all for me, and while I know the Tiffany Blue is the “hotter” piece I think this green variant is the best. Which is your favorite of the colored Rolex OPs?

It’s named Oyster Perpetual after the “Oyster“ case that Rolex pioneered that allowed for the watch be submerged and still run under water. “Perpetual” after the winding rotor movement that allows for it to run automatically. Ultimately this is the most basic 3 hand watch Rolex makes, and so it carries this very basic name that can still be found on every other Rolex watch.
I love the yellow most, waiting for 36 yellow. The green would be my 2nd color. The turquoise is not that nice, it has a kinda faded milky color. It is not that really deep rich colorful, like the yellow, green and coral red. The pink has also that faded milky shade but not that strong, so I would also take the pink :)
Owning a 39 white I am anyway quite happy^^

Hey @frankieherrera! First of all, welcome. The OPs are easy to get you hooked on watches. My partner has the same watch as you (and I love the green) but I have the turquoise – so I'm going to have to say it is my favorite. That said, I think they all are AMAZING. Even the coral red is starting to win me over.

Thanks Lydia for the welcome! Wow I gotta say you are one lucky couple! But you both definitely have the two best colors of this watch! My wife also loves the turquoise but she ended up waiting for the new Kermit sub instead. Enjoy yours and hope you can complete the OP collection someday! 😀
