Timex is to blame for my 50+ year old obsession with watches. I have a few to this day. I wish I still had some of my first Timex-purchased straight from the carousel display at the Rexall Drug store.

Great collection of Timex watches. One of the members of my local watch enthusiasts group has a fairly large collection of Timex as well, including several Marlins, which are my personal favorite from the brand (especially those with the hour markers in the same font as the example from your collection). I'm old enough to remember the slogan "takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin'".
I have two Timex watches in my collection.
The first is the Timex Indiglo that my dad wore when he passed away, which I keep purely for the connection to him. He was never into watches, but always wore one, and as far as I can remember, they were always inexpensive watches like Timex.
I also have the Timex watch that I wore as a young teenager back way back when. It worked when I re-discovered it a few years ago, but has since stopped. I'm tempted to take it to my watchmaker to see if it could be repaired, but since I know I'd never really wear it, I'm thinking that it may make more sense to just leave it as is.
Brings back memories of the Timex ads from my childhood as well. As soon as I saw this post, I said to myself “Timex, it takes a licking and keeps on ticking” in that weird warbly mid-Atlantic accent.
I’ve been eyeing the Timex vintage inspired reissues but the only Timex currently in the house is a 36mm Timex Expedition Scout that’s worn by my elementary school-aged son.
He loves the Indiglo feature and likes to brag that he has the most accurate watch in the family at +0.1 seconds / day.
Epic Timex collection Foggy! I have these 3.

How 'bout them Seahawks!!
Not sure if they keep tickin' after taking a lickin"😀😀
Solid collection indeed!
Marlin + Expedition: Two favorites. The Expedition is a recent acquisition and is still impressing me with all the features it has. Highly recommended.

Wow nice collection, what's your favourite piece?
I too am a Timex fan…

Each one for different reasons!
Outstanding Timex collection. Some I haven't seen before. Old school.

Timex is proof positive, at least for us older guys, that you don';t need to break the bank for a watch you can enjoy for years.
I like the Crunch 'cuz it's not a pissing contest between the different levels of watch appreciation.
As long as you like watches, you fit right in.
Just because we might have different ideas doesn't mean everyone else is wrong.
It just means that you are right...😎

Haha, I’m not THAT old! Nonetheless, I thought the “shake the crap out of 2 watches with a bunch of ice cubes test” was pretty neat. We should ask @foghorn to do a modern reenactment.
I do live my expedition with the indiglo but it ticks louder than a tower clock
$6.00 from Rite Aid eight years ago. Found it in storage.
Timex has really stepped up their game in the past few years.

I love the green Marlin.
Hey bb!
First watch found. Bought in '88 and still as sweet as I remember
I only have one Timex, "Timex Safari".
I got my first Timex a few months ago, and love it! The removable links on the stretchy band are genius.
This Timex was bought as a rough use watch about 20 years ago as I got tired of replacing the crystal on my Seiko.
The alarm stopped working after a few years and last year literally the day after I put a new Barton band on it I ripped the secondary crown out of it that rotated the inner chapter ring. To protect the inside against water and dirt I used my caulking gun to fill the hole with white latex caulk.
Still keeps good time, the Indiglo still works, and by filing one groove in the rotating bezel a little deeper and filling it with touch-up paint, I can still use the bezel to time how long I’m with a customer.

This is love and dedication. A true appreciator. Great job. Great post.
This is what watch love is all about!
