So.. I got my boy G-Shocks
Here's how the story goes. One day, he (16) told me he wanted to get a G-Shock after I showed him my GA-2100 Casioak. He liked it very much and wanted to get the all black model (GA-2100-1A1).
Off we went to my local G-shock store and he started looking and he found another model and liked it very much. It was the GA-2200BB-1A.
It was slightly off my budget but what the heck right? Just get it! He loved it and said it is an awesome watch.
After about a month, I came across another model (DW-5600BB-1) and it was on sale and I told myself, "hey! he can have another blacked out watch to add to his collection!. So, I grabbed it.
Gave it to him and he loved it!
Another month passed and I wanted him to store his current watches and future ones somewhere, and so the hunt began with a watch case that's durable and could take a beating just like his G-shocks. I chanced upon an online seller that sells so called "Anti Shock Watch Boxes". Grabbed a 10 slots version.
So now, I'll leave it to him to choose and buy his own collection. My job is roughly done for now. LOL. I do enjoy the hunt a lot. Shall continue this thread when he has more.

Forgot to mention that he needs a watch for his upcoming prom. Any suggestion on what to get? I think he'll be wearing a suit. A dress watch would be in the hunt and the first thing that comes to mind was the Orient Bambino 38mm. I do like that watch. Classy and elegant and not too expensive.
I don't wanna get an expensive one as this will be his first automatic and he really needs to take care of it.

I loved reading this story too. This just goes to show that true watch enthusiasm is all about true passion and appreciation no matter the price point.
