SOTC: The "one-watch" collection :D

Hi Folks,

I am happy to share my collection with the watchcrunch community. What started as a "one-watch" collection has organically grown in the last 8 years.

From left to right:

  • Hamilton Khaki Aviation X-Wind (My first automatic watch)
  • Vintage Rado Voyager (Heirloom)
  • Zenith El Primero "Revival Shadow" (My grail)
  • Seiko 5 Sports "Pepsi" (Summer, casual)
  • Casio F-91W (God Tier)

So what is your next watch?

Nice collection! My next watch hmmm🤷‍♂️ Dunno yet… weirdly I’m content with my collection right now…very weird …

·

Haha, that's what I said when I bought my hamilton x-wind ;)

It is good to be content. I would love a GMT in my collection to close the loop but I don't like any of them in the market right now. @Ichibunz

Patience is a virtue they say… Yeah I’m a bit underwhelmed with the GMT’s but I thought I wanted the Longines Zulu but my lust for it kinda faded a bit…

That Zenith is smokin' hot! 😎

·

I have been on the hunt for a new dive watch and at the moment I find myself stuck between the Doxa sub 300t and Muhle S.A.R.

Ah, I see. The only thing that bothered me about the Longines is the "*s" and the "ZULU TIME" writing on the dial :p I think my fascination with GMT will eventually fade and I will end up getting a proper dive/tool watch as a daily beater.

That Zenith is smokin' hot! 😎

Thanks, @Calumets: I find it hot as well :D Unlike other popular el-primeros this one is extremely light and you don't even realise that you are wearing it.

Ah, the Doxa! I have been in love with the Doxa Sub 300 Cabon. What's your take on that? I am not sure how the carbon case will handle the test of "time".

Since you mentioned Muhle. Did you check out the Sinn u50? I think that is a killer piece.

Nice collection! I'm more than satisfied with my collection now, I dont expect to be adding to it any time in the near future.

·

Nice collection. Love the Zenith!

My next watch...

At one time I said it was a Seiko Presage and then I bought 3 others.

I'm kinda sorta wanting a GMT, but not a fan of split colored bezels, so that limits my options a lot.

I see, there is the Tudor BB pro(without split-coloured bezels) but I don't like the fact that it is thick. People/Reviewers say that it wears not that thick but I ain't buying it. @UnholiestJedi Of course depends on the budget and what you prefer.

Thanks @shazerbot It sure is a good feeling to sit back and just enjoy the collection we already have. For me, if I can't wear my watch, then they don't belong in my collection. I hate the fact that watches sit in the boxes of the "collectors".

Nice collection. Love the Zenith!

Thanks, @harrisc852. Believe it or not, it is my daily beater ✨.

·

Nice collection and the Zenith is a stunner.

·

The Zenith is a joy to behold 👍 BEA…utiful!!!

·

Thanks for sharing. I can see in this one collection a roughly classic unity and unique value in each.

I just placed an order on a GMT from #horage the Supersede, in my opinion it has a different look compared to what’s out there and specially the size is amazing!

I'm thinking of getting a Hamilton KFA for my 44th birthday. I think they are awesome! Light weight, easy to operate, shiny! Great collection my friend.

·

That’s a solid one right there :) You can’t go wrong with a Hami

Happy 44 mate 🥳

I had not seen that one. Interesting. I feel like, for whatever reason, I am not a fan of watches shaped like this. The Seiko turtle comes to mind...or the Willard. Just haven't seen one I liked yet.

No issues. Each one has their own preference. So I totally get it :)

I am glad you liked it. Thanks

Really like the Shadow!! My next watch is probably a few years later but i’m pretty sure it’s the Shadow or JLC Reverso.

JLC Reverso is on my list. To complete my “one-watch” collection with the ultimate dress watch haha. I just want to enjoy wearing the watches that I own. I might even sell some of them as they don’t get enough wear time. I need to update this collection cos I have added one more to it ;)

·

Nice collection. Love the versatility. I like the heirloom Rado. I have a vintage Diastar that was handed down to me by my Dad. I love their funky designs!

If you’re looking for white dial, I suggest the Oris BCPD Roberto Clemente edition. It’s an everyday wear that can go from dressy, to sporty, to casual.  Cheers 🍻
