Black Bay 58 vs Blue Bay 58

Let's see how the Crunchers feel about this! If you had to pick one for yourself... Which one would it be?

I didn’t even consider the black version before buying the blue.  It’s just not my style.

Yeah I think that the more vintagey gilt accents can be deal breakers for some. 👍

Both, then add the Bronze.

The profile name checks out! 😂

I picked the black one, but I like them both and would happily wear either.

Yeah can't really go wrong with any of the BB58s. 👍

I’m all about the blue. I’m not opposed to the gilt, but I feel it’s overdone at this point (he says whilst wearing a vintage style sub homage with gilt hands 😂)

I kinda split the difference and did both…I bought a GMT…black dial like the black, but silver accents and (half) blue bezel.

I went with the black.

I own both and I find that at different times I prefer one or the other. It's been a warm summer here in Seattle and I have been wearing my blue BB58 a LOT. I love the way that the blue changes from a deep indigo in dim lighting to the color of a mountain lake in bright sunshine. Its a perfect "summer watch."

As the weather cools down, however, I find that I prefer the warmth of the black/gilt BB58. The color scheme on the black BB58 just "feels" like fall.

Buying the same watch in two different colors isn't always a good way to build a collection, but I find that these two watches compliment each other well and there's a space for both in watch drawer.

I have borrowed the blue from my buddy and it definitely feels like a "summer" watch.   I tend to not wear my black often in the summer, but in the fall/winter, it looks killer with a flannel or a canvas jacket.

Blue is more special :)

·

Neither, what have you got from Longines?

·

The one I really like is the 925 ( with the OG in second place) Here's mine on a gun metal mesh bracelet

I bought the black vesion, great watch probably the most solid watch in my collection but you have to like the vintage touches.

I wear it less because the vintage doesn't match a very sporty modern style (on my opinion)

Sooo true!!!

I accidentally chose the black bay but I’d go blue

I started out with the blue and really love it. Amazing colors and it’s a very versatile watch. While I was waiting for a BB58 in black with my name on it, Tudor released the 925 and I ended up getting that instead, which I’m also immensely enjoying. However, I haven’t ruled out the black further down the road.

I guess what I’m trying to say is that there’s room for both and that they’re great watches in either color.
