I wanted to share a recent find of mine. After selling my Rolex to fund a new acoustic (funny enough I sold a guitar to buy the Rolex!) I was itching for something new to wear. More and more lately I’ve been loving 90s era Seikos and I had a line on a near mint 7t42-6A50 to replace my beat up one. Unfortunately I couldn’t drive to 3 hours to get it so I was out with my wife and stopped by a large antique mall near us. There I found this guy sitting in a case for $200. I had to have it. Near mint, titanium, with original rubber strap (which I replaced). Overall super excited with it.

I look at that watch and I have an urge to throw on an old Cowboy Junkies cassette. Congrats.

There’s something about that 90s era that I just love. The Rolex I had was a 5 digit and to me that’s perfection. 5 years ago I’d run away from a quartz diver like this. But now I’ll take all I can get my hands on.
Very cool watch.
My dad used to be a diving instructor, among other things aboard Norwegian cruise lines and wore a citizen aqualand for all the dives.
This watch has seen a lot of salt water.
He had it on this Velcro strap, it’s quite substantial because he used to sometimes wear the watch around his ankle. Lol
