Diver GMT watches (with count-up/down 120-click bezel)

So - the release of the Black Bay Pro has got me thinking hard about GMT watches. First off, I don't need a GMT watch (when I travel, I typically stay in my time zone, and I only travel out of my home timezone a few times a year).

That being said - the heart wants what the heart wants, and I have serious FOMO over a GMT watch.

I really like the look and functionality in Diver 300m Co-Axial GMT 41 mm (2535.80.00) - "Bond-style" Seamaster 300M Pro - with a 120-click count-up bezel - GMT hand - and 41mm

A few questions:

  1. Anyone have one of these watches? If so, any thoughts? Looks a little thick, but I think I could pull it off on my 6.5 in wrist
  2. What do you think the chances are of Omega putting a GMT movement in the 42mm Seamaster Pros (with the diver bezel, not the 24 hour bezel)?
  3. Has anyone come across any other GMT watches with a divers bezel (120 click). Bonus if it's a countdown bezel.

I own a Mido Ocean Star GMT 44mm with the black dial, orange accents, 200m water resistance, and the 120 click dive time bezel. The AR is UNBEATABLE. The watch is legible under any light condition. Since I got the black dial it comes with the bracelet that has a phenomenal ratcheting on the fly adjustable clasp that really is tough to beat. Since I have a smaller wrist (6 1/4'' on my left) I mostly wear it on a NATO since that is easier to for me to handle the 44mm width. The lug to lug is around 49mm which is why this is at least wearable. At $1400 new (you can even get it through Macy's) with an actual jumping minute honest-to-goodness traveler GMT it is hard to beat at that price. Mido regulates the movement which is a Powermatic variant so not only does it have a decent power reserve, it keeps amazing time. The lume is my only beef on this watch: It glows in an instant on the face, hands, and bezel indices but and fades relatively quickly, especially on the hands. It is definitely not like any of my Seikos which glow all night. Because it is a bit larger, I'm also willing to part with this watch at some point as I'd like to get a Tudor GMT which fits me a bit better than the 44mm of the Mido. Otherwise, I love this watch after about having it for a year. JOMW review here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kIXhlMnZEz4. Teddy Baldasarre has a review as well.

Thanks for the info. I’ll look into the Mido
