Citizen vs Seiko / Prospex vs Promaster
Good morning watchfam!
I just received my citizen aqualand full lume which i ordered for my upcoming holiday in cyprus 🏊♂️🌊🏝🏖
I don't want to bring one of my mechanical pieces to the airport and mess with all the magnetic fields there... so this quartz beater diver for around 300 bugs (with discount codes of course) will be the perfect holiday watch imo. As I also have a seiko prospex (capt. Willard) in my collection I was curious if there are more prospex or more promaster fans here on watchcrunch. I know both camps have a huge following and both brands are the biggest watchmakers in japan (i think citizen even worldwide 🤔) - so let the battle here on watch crunch begin 😉

Nothing against the Citizen, but if they were side by side I'd be choosing the Willard every time.... maybe even more so in sexy black 🔥
I'm a Seiko diver watch addict, however I do have 2 Citizen divers that I absolutely love. Currently, my everyday wear is the Seiko SLA057, but I throw on my Promaster Eco-drive to do yard work and what not in and have a Hyperqualand from the early 2000's that's just fun. For what it's worth, I've traveled a lot in airports with my mechanical watches and have never had an issue with magnetic fields.

That hyper aqualand is so cool! I think random rob also has one in his collection.

He's who inspired me to get one. Saw his and thought it was insanely cool. He actually sold his a couple months ago though. He's a flipper for life. Haha.

Yep. He's all about that flipper life. I think the only keepers in his collection are his orange Monster, SKX009 and maybe his Sub. He even recently just got rid of his Pelagos and Longines Big Eye. Haha.
