The watch that began my sickness

Three years ago, my trusty Casio Tough Solar anidigi affair was falling apart.  I had it on a caniballized leather strap, held together with a rubber band.  On the way back from a trip, it fell off my wrist in the airport for the hundredth time, and I decided I'd had enough.  I ordered this beauty off Amazon, happy that it was solar like my old Casio, and when it arrived was shocked to find how small it was compared to the watches I'd worn growing up!  It was the first time a watch had fit me, and I was in love.  Of course, the purchase of a second watch was really the catalyst that began a string of gross financial irresponsibility for a university student, but this Citizen has seen consistent wear since the beginning.  It's been up mountains, seen weeklong bikepacking trips, and kept me on time for some of the most important moments of the last few years.  It's currently enjoying its last few months in the Arizona sun before a big move to Seattle - where the solar function will become much less practical - but I'll always be glad to have it.  It will always remind me of this special time in my life.

It’s eco-drive, Seattle won’t matter, it can charge on any light source, let it keep on keepin’ on.

I had no experience with eco drive and i dont know how good it is, but the experience and story of yours with it certainly is 🙌🏼

Amazing piece! Reckon I'm going to get my own someday

10/10 would recommend.  The real killer is the lume on the indices and hands, which is never super bright but I swear stays at just the right level all the way through the night.  Best I've ever seen on a watch for nighttime legibility.

Throughout the night, thats way more important than glows like a torch and gone in 5mins.

Love this model, and it was my second Citizen watch in my collection, and the first I bought myself.
