Tissot Powermatic 80 Movement

I had heard conflicting reports on this movement.  There was talk about the inability to regulate it oneself, or use of 'plastic' parts. This is a great video from an actual watchmaker explaining the features.  Now, I'm thinking a Tissot is in my future.  Great stuff!

I really wish this guy would have kept up with his videos. I discovered his YouTube channel quite a while ago, and learned one helluva lot from them.

Yeah, I hope he posts more videos.  I'm going to watch his series on how mechanical watches work to get a deeper understanding.  It's just that when I watch his stuff, I feel like I'm learning the real stuff not marketing fluff.

I've got a couple of Certina's with the Powermatic 80 and they are great.

I have this movement in my Tissot. Accurate within about 4 secs a day but runs slow which is always more irritating than it running fast. No complaints at all from me given price and it's not unattractive either
