As promised in @morganthedruid previous post, here’s a hands-on video of the freshly minted Tudor Ranger ref. 79950.
What do you think of the watch? Camp yes, please or no, thank you?
I think Tudor did a nice job here and the brand has checked off many “must-have” specs from the modern watch enthusiast's POV. And all for less than CHF 3,000.

It’s a meh. I honestly dont feeling much of anything (positive or negative) about the watch itself. However, it does feel like Tudor is playing it too safe and doubling down on being the maker of Rolex homage watches and that is detracting from the brand in my eyes.
I think it makes the Tudor Collection somewhat more confusing.
bb58 = submariner
pelagos = sea dweller
BB GMT = GMT Master
BB Pro = Explorer 2
BB Chrono = Daytona
1926 = Oyster perpetual
Style = Datejust
Royal - Day date
bb36/41 - explorer
So I guess the ranger is another explorer alternative except vintage? I guess I wish they'd considered consolidating the 36/41 and the ranger lines to create something a little more unique looking.
Or, you know, an updated north flag.
Not for me, but will be for many given the Longines-level pricing.
I fell asleep. Couldn't get through that video with that guy's monotone voice. Can we get Nico Leonard to do a voice over?
AD: "Sir, would you like to try on the new Tudor Ranger?"
ME:
Someone telling me I'd take it if offered....
