While you can certainly file this under "If you have you ask, you can't afford it," I still enjoy geeking out over prices, numbers, and the market. 😀
I can still remember a time when you could get a discount on Aquanauts - boy, have things changed.

Awesome article, with so many details. I have it bookmarked. 5167A is my favorite Patek. I like the Aquanaut more than the Nautilus, I have had wrist time with both the 5711 and 5167A ( both borrowed) and its 5167A hands down. It is near impossible to get retail unless you are an existing customer, so when the time comes for me to be able to afford one I will have to call a friend. I had so much enjoyment reading your article. Thank you for sharing. PS: The Aquanaut on the steel bracelet seems to be not as popular as the one on the rubber strap, the strap is usually cut to size and not sure how you would then sell it on 2ry market.. also Nautilus comes on a bracelet (talking 5711)which seems to be more popular than the rubber strap version.

Thank you for your kind comment! I agree, the 5167A is a beauty. I‘m partial to the rose gold version but I’m weird like that.
To me, the Aquanaut doesn’t look like an Aquanaut when paired with a steel bracelet - the rubber strap completes it.
