Steeldive Murph SD1940M

The watch I was wearing before I sized the Steeldive Murph was my Tudor BB58 925, so am likely being a little harsh in my first impressions of my first Steeldive.

Is the Tudor worth 46x the Steeldive? Yes, absolutely.

Is the Steeldive a bad watch? No, not at all.

The bracelet rattles a bit but is comfortable enough. The links have more play in them than any watch I have owned though.

The female end links make for a comfortable fit but those same end links do not match the case lugs in shape or finishing.

The hands and crown are well done. Same for the case back. Not sure how the lume will be but I am not getting my hopes up.

For $126, I don't feel taken but I won't buy another until the finishing is vastly improved. Case looks a bit raw and feels same.

Looks great from afar but up close, it looks like a $50 watch at best.

Will serve fine as a yard work watch.

Honestly, save up and buy a better watch. Even the San Martins are a huge step up from this, and of course their price reflects that.

It still holds true, for the most part, you get what you pay for.

Finishing does look a bit rough but that legibility is great.
