My first gold watch, 1952 JLC

My wife wanted a watch we could share. I gave her about 20 options, she narrowed it down to 2, and I picked this one. I still need to get a different strap for her and another for me. Even though it's a dress watch, brown leather will be way more versatile than the embossed black lizard.

It may look a little small on my 8" wrist, but I just tell myself that there were big people in the 1950's, and they all wore watches this size.

Magnificent piece, congratulations!🥳

It looks great. It is the proper size, even on your elephantine wrist.

That is a thing of beauty and I don't think it looks small on your wrist at all. Initial reaction was, "Oh so nice, just the right size". Then I read that you have an 8" wrist and I thought, "Oh so nice, just the right size."

All I saw was JLC. I didn't even look at the wrist til you mentioned it.
