Hot Take:
Scratches absolutely do not give watches character. Unlike a patina'd dial and/or lume, scratches on a crystal or a dinged up case simply make the watch look objectively worse. Thoughts?
Watches should be kept in their original boxes and never worn.
If one ever takes the watch out of the box please don't forget to buy and add custom made protective plastics for you watch too! They look so awesome!
Ha! Jokes aside this one really depends on the watch. Scratches on a zaratsu polished surface don't look as yummy as on a Doxa dive watch for example. 😜

I think it depends on the watch. A platinum Datejust? Absolutely not.
A Seamaster Planet Ocean that has seen dive time? Absolutely
Crystals are consumables in the watch world. Scratched crystals should be buffed or replaced.
Case scratches? To each their own, but I think you'll find you're in the minority on this one.
Depends on the watch. On my watches, the scratches tell a story to me about the times I've worn the watch. On your watch, scratches are just damage.

Wrong! Crystal scratches are true battle scars that nobody is gutsy enough to fake (unlike all that other hooey).
