My brother picked this for his fortyeth birthday. I dabble in repairing these beautiful objects and he asked me to clean the tarnish from the case back...... I looked at the rubbery residue and eventually the penny dropped. I told him what I believed it to be and we agreed it should stay. Guess what it was ?
