Nomos Tetra - Anybody have any experiences of this watch? Or Nomos in general?

Lately I’ve been looking for a reasonably priced watch I can wear to the office daily. I wanted something a bit different and quirky but not too left-field and I’ve had this watch on my mind for a few weeks.
I haven’t been able to get hands on as none of the ADs locally to me stock it. I need to venture into central London but I just cba.

Anyway, was hoping to get some insights from any of you who have worn/owned/experienced the watch and the brand.

images stolen off Google btw.

I like Nomos. They look different in person than in pictures so I recommend a trip to the dealer if you can do it.

Not your model and not for a long time, but I do own a Ahoi neomatik. And my conclusion so far is that if you like dials that are tastefully made with discrete pastel highlights and small seconds hands, then Nomos might have something for you. If you also like thin watches without a lot of bezel, then Nomos certainly has something for you. But if you like something with a LOT of individuality, something that can be identified to a specific model and not just be associated to a brand, then you might have a problem with Nomos.

I've owned my Nomos Club since 2019, and the quality is simply outstanding.

With Nomos you are getting an original design and all the Glashütte know-how for not that much money. Honestly, I can't think of a better brand from 1K to 2K. As an example of this, the finishing of their Alpha caliber is way superior than the finishing offered in watches that cost twice the price, also, the feel when operating the crown is outstanding, the texture on the dial is beautiful, the finishing on the hands is impeccable, and so on.

Go check out some models from the brand in person, and if you like the styling (very particular design) you can't go wrong with a Nomos.

Here's the one I've owned since 2019:

Something in the not round categoryto consider would be the Oris Rectangular or the Longines Dolcevita.

An alternative minimalist watch might be something from Junghans.

For something quirky and fun, but not too out there, look at Farer.

Thanks for the suggestions.
As for the Oris/Longines, I’d rather just get a Cartier Tank.
Farer has some interesting models tho. I just briefly scanned the website but will look into them more.

Yeah even tho they don’t seem to be much talked about, I’ve heard good things about Nomos which led me to checking them out. Glad you enjoy yours, I plan to find a store and visit soon.

That red dial is cool. I just don’t think I’d wear it much even tho I really like it. Most likely go for the off-white dial if I do get one.

I have a Nomos Club Campus and a Tetra, both hand wind models, and I love them. In house movements. In my opinion Nomos watches only look like Nomos watches. For what you are getting it's a great value. I also suggest you see if there is a retailer near you. The Tetra is actually a small watch (which I like) I'd like to get an Ahoi with a Midnight face to round out my Nomos' watches.

Good to hear another positive review. Would you kindly share some pics of your tetra? much appreciated

This shade of purple has a lot of grey in it so it doesn't scream purple.

My wrist is about 7.25-7.5, and I tend to wear my watches over the wrist bone.

Side by side with my Hamilton Field Khaki, which is 38mm (and my favorite watch)

I guess I'm reviving an old thread.

I really like the Tetra. It is my fourth Nomos watch (in addition to a Metro, Tangente, and Orion). I find the 29.5mm case wears similarly to a 34-35mm round watch and offers a distinctive look compared to the ubiquitous round watch.

The overall style of Nomos is modern and clean. Their watches go well with both casual and formal attire. The Tetra would work very well in the workplace. The normal white/silvery dials work beautifully with a wide range of straps. The Tetra has drilled lug holes for easy strap changes.

Both the Alpha and Neomatik movements are easy on the eyes and very thin. The Tetra is one of the Nomos with shorter lug lengths and will fit any wrist.
