I REALLY Like This Watch - Casio Duro MDV-106
Just got this one for Father's Day, and have to say—I REALLY like this watch! If you've seen any of my other posts, I'm relatively new to liking/appreciating/getting watches, and have gotten an Orient diver, Tissot chrono, and a Timex chrono thus far.
I guess with anything that can be appreciated or collectible, as well as just considered to be a tool—I'm thinking cars. You can love a Porsche from afar, but be perfectly happy with a Kia SUV (this is somewhat autobiographical, ha!)—just as I can love a Rolex, but I'm not quite ready to drop that much money on anything just yet! Watches are, really, just tools. They can be beautiful to some, ugly to others, to each his or her own.
I've seen the sentiment expressed here, when someone is asking what should I buy, or should I buy this, or that? Buy what you like, whether it be Rolex or Timex, or automatic or quartz, or steel or resin.
"Art" is whatever you think "art" is...to you. And this under $50 diver really speaks to me. The way the green bezel pops, and the 44mm presence on my wrist, just wow. Really digging it so far!
I'm really surprised at what you can find that is good quality, and that tracks the time well- for so little money! Plus, it looks good!

Casio has always impressed me as one of the few companies whose quartz movements pretty much hit every marker.
That bezel POPS! Love this piece, and for the price point looks like a winner, for sure! It's almost as crispy as the Sub dates/green bezel. I dig it!
My daughter got me the same watch but black bezel for my birthday the week before still haven’t taken it off my wrist 👍

I love it so far... thinking about getting other color variations, and possibly trying a hydro-mod.
